Integrated complementary and rehabilitative medicine for animals
The diagnostic process is the cornerstone of any treatment, and its goal is to deeply understand the animal's inner world.
While humans can describe their feelings and pain in words, animals express their distress in other ways, mainly through changes in behavior, lifestyle habits, and physical functioning. The diagnosis is designed to decipher each animal's unique "language" - to understand what they are really going through. The changes in their behavior are their way of "talking" about the difficulties and discomfort they are experiencing, whether it is physical pain, a health problem, or emotional distress.
During the diagnostic session, we focus not only on the physical symptoms, but also on the animal’s life story – what traumas or experiences they have gone through in the past, and how they are affecting them in the present. This understanding allows us to get to the root of the problem and not just treat the symptoms.
The diagnosis provides an opportunity to get to know the animal as an individual – who they are, what their deepest needs are, and how past experiences affect their current health.
During the session, you will share with me details about your pet's lifestyle, behavioral changes, and medical information you have gathered along the way. I rely on clinical intuition based on over 20 years of experience, alongside medical data, such as blood tests and other test results, to create as broad and accurate a picture as possible.
Holistic diagnosis combines the physical and emotional understanding of the animal: what factors created the existing illness, how they affected the body's systems, and what signs its behavior conveys. This understanding is the basis for building a personalized treatment plan - whether it involves treatment with Chinese herbs, dietary adjustments, or lifestyle changes.
The diagnostic process is also a crucial step in learning about the animal – who they really are? What experiences have shaped their lives? How can we help them cope with the distress they express? Through diagnosis, we can identify the deep source of illness, whether it is an unbalanced physical system or an unresolved emotional experience, and act from a comprehensive understanding to improve their health and quality of life.
